This fabric can be used in manufacturing clothes (blankets, jackets, coats, hats, other woolens and winter accessories), soft toys, etc., as a cruelty-free alternative to materials like fur and suede, especially in outerwear. The name of this fabric is derived from its close resemblance to wool used by the Sherpas of Nepal for lining their winter clothing.
